Lipofilling is a procedure in which fat is transferred from one part of the body to another. There are various reasons for patients opting for this particular procedure, but mainly to correct aesthetic defects while safely using their own fat as a permanent filler.
The whole procedure consists of 2 parts.
Part 1. Liposuction: The fat is taken from the chosen area. Usually the abdomen, back, hips, thighs or the neck.
Part 2: Lipofilling: The fat then gets purified and filtered using special machines. Once safe to do so, the fat is then reinjected into the desired area such as the face, breast, hands or buttocks.

What can I expect of the operation?
The operation will be performed under local anesthetic and will take between 30 to 60 minutes. Markings will be made on your face by your surgeon. Small injections will be used to numb the skin. Once this skin has become numb, the fat will be taken out by liposuction, and the fat cells and the stem cells will be isolated and used as a filler in the face.

What to expect after the operation?Some slight discomfort, which subsides after the first few hours. Some swelling and bruising, combined with tightness of the area where the fat has been taken and reinserted.
How long before I can resume my normal day to day activities?Most people manage to return to activities in the first few days after surgery. It is recommend not to do any energetic activities in the first 2 weeks.
