Dr. Wafaa Ahmed was born and raised in Luxor, Egypt. In 2004, she obtained her high school diploma as one of the first ranked students on a country level and she started her medical school the following year in Assuit, one of the biggest medical schools in Egypt. She graduated from her medical school with Honors in 2011 and worked as an intern in Assuit University Hospital between 2012 and 2013.

As she was from the 1st ranked of her batch, she took residency program in Assuit University Children Hospital from 2013 to 2016, where she rotated in all pediatric departments (Emergency-PICU -NICU -Hematology-Nephrology-Neurology -Endocrinology-Chest ) and obtained her master’s degree in Pediatrics. She later took her subspeciality in Pediatric Immunology and Allergy Unit in Assuit University Children Hospital.

In 2017, Wafaa moved to her husband in Doha and joined the pediatric team of Elite Medical Center.
